Valley Central Youth Hub is Re-Launching!

Delivered by Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) on behalf of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Young Greenwich is the name for the youth service across the Borough.

Made up of 4 main youth hubs and 20 partners, Young Greenwich offers a range of free activities and sessions to young people aged 10-19 (or up to 25 for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

On Monday 8 April 2019, Valley Central Youth Hub will be opening for its re-launch and invites all young people to attend for FREE from 4:30pm. Based at The Valley; home to Charlton Athletic FC’s home ground, the youth hub will introduce its club, youth workers and upcoming activities for young people. 

Valley Central is being re-decorated for a brand new look which is being carried out by ADS Painters & Decorators.

Location: The Valley, Floyd Road, Charlton, London, SE7 8BL 

Please note that the venue is fully wheelchair accessible.

What activities will there be on the day?

The re-launch event will be held in Valley Central Youth Hub from 4-30pm– 8pm and will include a range of activities and feature:

  • Music from our resident DJ’s
  • Opportunity to learn how to DJ
  • Boxing 
  • FREE food & drinks
  • Sports 
  • Games (table tennis, pool, table football, PS4 with FIFA 19 / Wii, board games etc.)
  • Competition with prizes
  • Special guests 

Charlton Athletic midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey will be appearing at the event, as will Cllr Gary Dillon and Cllr Linda Perks who both represent Charlton Ward. Singer/Songwriter & Young Greenwich Ambassador, Autumn Sherif will also be attending the event to celebrate with the young people

How can I attend? 

Entry to this event is FREE! All you need to do is turn up. Don’t forget to click “going” on our Facebook event page and we’ll meet you on the day.

Can I bring anyone with me? 

Yes! We encourage you to bring your friends, and families to this event is FREE! 

I am not a member, can I still come?

Absolutely! You’ll have the opportunity to register for Young Greenwich for free and have access to all activities across the Borough and the opportunity to go on amazing trips; from theme parks to holidays abroad.

When can I start attending Valley Central Youth Hub once it’s opened?

After the launch, we will be running regular youth club sessions with lots of activities on:

  • Tuesdays 7:15 - 9:15pm- Integrated Sessions Age 10-19 (+25 SEND) including specialist deaf station
  • Wednesdays 7:15 - 9:15pm- Youth Sessions, Age: 13-19 
  • Thursdays 6:15 - 8:15pm- Integrated Sessions, Age: 10-19 (+25 SEND)
  • Fridays 3:45pm - 5:45pm- Inter sessions Age: 8-12
  • Fridays 6:30pm – 8:00pm-Football sessions Age: 13-19
