The Moon Festival celebrates people’s relationship with the Moon and coincides with the 50thanniversary of the first Moon Landing. From astrophysics to mythology, politics to poetry, Moon Festival draws on our eternal curiosity for the moon to bring people together for a week of events in July 2019. This festival is funded by the Heritage fund and supported by the Royal Borough of Greenwich

The Night School with Emergency Exit Arts (EEA)

What is The Night School?

The Night School is Moon Festival’s creative skills training programme, encouraging young Londoners to shape and appreciate their city at night. To help deliver the festival, the Moon festival’s team are looking to recruit 10 dynamic young trainees to take on the role of creative producers. You will receive training from our partner, Emergency Exit Arts, one of Britain’s pioneering outdoor arts companies, gain experience for your CV and contribute to the first every Moon Festival. Travel expenses will be covered and guidance and support will be offered throughout.

The Young Producers Project Night School with Royal Museums Greenwich (RMG)

Following on from last year’s Youth Collective, our partner, RMG & the National Maritime Museum is looking for 10 Young Producers aged 16-24 to produce and deliver creative festivals, events, talks and drop in workshops on behalf of the museum. The first event will be a youth take-over as part of the Moon Festival 2019. This experience will enable you to gain invaluable skills and work alongside artists, curators, practitioners and cultural leaders.
