Partner of Young Greenwich, B Young Stars is hosting a Sports Science event funded by British Science Week. Aimed at females aged 14 and over, especially within the Black, Asian and Muslim communities, this event will take place on Sunday 10 March 2019 from 3pm-5pm at Woolwich Common Youth Hub.

About the event

The Sports Science event will be broken down into two parts, giving the young females a range of topics to cover during the day.

Part 1: Fitness Activities

The first part of the event will be very active and engaging with live fitness tests during the session including a bleep test, sit & reach, step up and abs test. This will be followed by a healthy refreshment break before the second part of the session.

Part 2: The Female Body Structure

The second part of the event will be more focussed on the female body structure.

Using the fitness test results, B Young Stars will aim to teach and help the young females understand the different ways of having a healthy and nutritious lifestyle. During this part of the session, the young females will learn how exercise can help to keep a stable mental health, healthy organs and reduce risks of developing any diseases.
