June has been an extremely busy month for Young Greenwich, and as we enter the summer, let's take a look back at some highlights from the month.
Young Greenwich Awards
On Friday, June 7th, we held our annual awards ceremony for the third consecutive year, proudly sponsored by the University of Greenwich. This event celebrates the achievements of our young people throughout the year and is a time to reflect on all their great work. The night was an incredible success with special guests such as Deputy Leader of Greenwich, Councillor Linda Bird, attending to present some awards to our young recipients. All the young people and their families were excited to collect their awards. We were even treated to a stunning performance by young singer Anna Baalbaki from our partners at Greenwich Music School. The night was truly memorable, and we look forward to more celebrations in the future. Check out this video to see how the evening went!

Welcoming New Partners
We are thrilled to announce a range of new partners joining the Young Greenwich family, diversifying our offerings:
- Wapping Wildcats: Offering volleyball sessions to young people, providing a safe and fun environment to grow their skills.
- Autistic Inclusive Meets: An organization created by autistic people to enable families with autistic children, and autistic individuals to get out into the community and socialize.
- My Change CIC: A Community Interest Company focused on familiarizing kids with nutritious meals and teaching them to grow their own vegetables.
- Champion for Change: Returning partners who hold boxing sessions, providing young carers with a safe environment to build confidence, self-esteem, personal resilience, and positive relationships with other young carers.
We look forward to delivering amazing programs with these partners and can't wait to see the incredible developments they bring to our young people.
Young Greenwich Summer Academy

Barista Training Workshop
In June, some of our young people and staff took part in a barista training workshop delivered by Cafeology. Our participants learned how to make various coffees like mochas and cappuccinos and gained valuable skills to add to their CVs to support future employment. A big well done to all involved, and we hope to deliver more sessions like this in the future.
Upcoming events:
June has indeed been a month of growth, learning, and celebration at Young Greenwich. We are excited about the upcoming summer activities and continuing to support and celebrate our young people. Stay tuned for more updates and join us in making this summer unforgettable!
